Came across this original song by YouTube duo Nick and NJ.
Vocally, they’re quite good. Their harmonizing is gorgeous, and the composition of the song is a smooth and refreshing mix of R&B and acoustic. The simple and easily followed lyrics add to the song’s genuine atmosphere rather than making it a bore. Give them a listen, they’ve got quite a few other original songs & numerous covers posted up on their YouTube channel as well.

Ever since Andrew Chase’s mechanical giraffe, I have been stalking following his work. Well, he’s outdone himself, with an even more gorgeous mechanical cheetah. Read more @ baekdal, one of my favourite online design magazines.
The cheetah measures 24″ high (61cm) and 50″ nose to tail (127cm) and weighs about 40 lbs. She took about 60 hours, spaced over 10 weeks time to build. She’s constructed out of the usual electrical conduit, transmission parts, and 20 gauge steel.
It is also amazingly flexible, as shown in the multiple images & motion capture vid @ the article linked to above.
Andrew Chase is absolutely brilliant.

I was looking through backstage photos of the Paris Fashion Week Menswear collections. (Article & photo gallery @ Wallpaper.) when I came across the latest collection of one of my favourite fashion houses, Dior Homme.
I love neutral colour schemes, and apparently so does Dior Homme. Their collection @ Paris Fashion Week was great as usual, there were some pieces I didn’t quite like but that’s to be expected. Admittedly some of their pieces are still a bit outlandish for my taste, but their Autumn/Winter 09/10 collection had some promising looks.
I don’t really get why all the models are wearing the same white-lined, rubber-y shoes, but it seems like they’re targeting a younger audience with the screenprint tee, which also has a black, long-sleeved counterpart that I couldn’t find pictured. I’ve heard negative comments about it, saying it’s “tacky” and “out of style”, but personally I love screenprint tee’s, haha. The cut & fit of the trousers is fantastic too.
